How Hatch works

Hatch is a Solana launchpad where the anti-rug rules are part of the launch, enforced by programs on chain, not promised on a website.

Every coin starts on a Meteora bonding curve. The dev buys part of the supply at launch, and those coins are locked, then vested. When the curve fills, the coin graduates to a Meteora DAMM v2 pool whose liquidity is locked forever.

On top of the rules every coin gets, the dev can turn on extra hooks at launch: rules written into the token itself while it trades on the curve.

Launching a coin

  1. Name, ticker, image. Supply is fixed at 1 billion. Name, ticker and image can never be changed afterwards.
  2. Dev buy. Optional, up to 5% of the supply, bought in the launch transaction (nobody can buy ahead of you) and sent straight into the coin's vault.
  3. Market caps. Keep the default curve or set your own starting and graduation market cap in dollars. A custom curve is created on chain first, with exactly the same fees and locks (one more signature, ≈ 0.01 SOL of rent).
  4. Vesting and guarantee. Pick how long your coins vest (7 to 90 days, after a 24-hour lock) and lock a Creator Guarantee from 0.01 SOL.
  5. Curve and hooks. Graduating or permanent. Max 2% per wallet is always on. Turn on optional hooks such as No social-trading apps. They cannot be changed later.
  6. One signature. Your wallet signs a single transaction: pool, dev buy, hooks and vault, all at once.

Rules on every coin

Anti-sniper fee

75% → 1% in 1 min

Snipers pay up to 75% in fees at launch. It falls fast (≈ 30% after 13 s) then slowly, down to 1% within a minute.

Enforced by Meteora fee scheduler

Dev buy

Up to 5% of supply

The dev can buy up to 5% of the supply in the launch transaction, before anyone else. It goes straight into a lock. No minimum.

Enforced by Launch API, then the vault program

Launch fee

0.5 SOL

Paid by the creator at launch. Spam launches cost real money.

Enforced by Pool config

Liquidity

Locked forever

On graduation the liquidity moves to Meteora DAMM v2 and is locked. Nobody can pull it.

Metadata

Immutable

Name, ticker and image cannot be changed after launch. Supply is fixed at 1B.

Enforced by Pool config

Dev tokens

24h lock, then vest

The dev buy goes straight into a lock: nothing for 24 hours, then it vests linearly over 7 to 90 days (30 by default), chosen at launch.

Enforced by Vault program (DevLock)

Creator fees

75% to dev, paid daily

75% of the creator fees go to the dev (12.5% to the reward reserve, 12.5% to Hatch): nothing for the first 24 hours, then each day's fees unlock over the next 7 days.

Enforced by Vault program (FeeVest)

Forfeit

Abandon = fees lost

A dev who abandons the coin (7 days without new fees and without claiming) loses the unclaimed fees and the guarantee to the reward reserve.

Enforced by Vault program (forfeit)

Max per wallet

2% of supply

No wallet can hold more than 2% while the coin is on the bonding curve.

Enforced by Transfer hook

Social-trading apps

Optional block

The dev can block buys made through social-trading apps (FOMO, the Pump app…) while the coin is on its curve. Sells always work. Shown on the coin.

Enforced by Transfer hook (rule 2)

Creator Guarantee

From 0.01 SOL

Every creator locks a guarantee in the vault, from 0.01 SOL, any amount. Back to them when their vesting ends; lost to the reward reserve if they abandon the coin.

Enforced by Vault program (escrow)

Coming soon: Reward reserve · Dev prizes. Never shown as active before they are on chain.

Hooks

A hook is a rule that runs on every transfer of a coin. Hatch coins use Token-2022 with the Hatch hook program, so the rules hold on Hatch, on every terminal, bot and DEX alike.

Hooks apply while the coin trades on its bonding curve, and the dev picks the curve at launch:

Graduating (default): at the graduation market cap the coin moves to a Meteora DAMM v2 pool with its liquidity locked forever. Meteora removes the hook in that same transaction, so the rules end there.

Permanent: the graduation target is so far away (about 23,000× the starting price) that the coin stays on its curve, and its hooks run for life. Nobody can pull the curve's liquidity either.

Max 2% per wallet

Always on

No wallet can hold more than 2% of the supply while the coin is on its curve. A buy or a transfer that would put a wallet over 2% is refused.

Exempt: the pool itself (every sell lands there) and the dev's lock in the vault (up to 5% by the dev-buy rule). One capped account per wallet: its standard token account.

Limit: one person can split a bag over many wallets. No on-chain rule can see that; one wallet can't go over.

No social-trading apps

Optional

The opposite of an "app-only" coin: buys made through social-trading apps are refused. Picked by the dev at launch, shown on the coin page.

How it works: on every buy, the hook reads the transaction's instructions and refuses it if one carries a marker of a listed app: the app's signing wallet, its tagged route, or its fee wallet. Today the list covers FOMO (its signing wallet and its OKX route) and the Pump app (its tagged OKX route). The list lives on chain and only the Hatch treasury can update it.

Sells and plain wallet transfers always work: nobody is ever stuck with a coin.

Limit: detection follows the apps' public markers. An app that changes its wallet or route gets through until the list is updated.

Both are Pinocchio programs. The vault holds every dev lock and splits creator fees; the hook enforces the per-wallet cap and the optional hooks.

FAQ

Can a dev dump at launch? No. The dev buy (up to 5%) goes into the vault and stays locked 24 hours, then vests over the period the dev picked.

Can a custom curve change the fees? No. The vault compares every custom curve with the reference one byte for byte: only the starting price and the graduation target may differ.

Can the liquidity be pulled? No. On graduation it is locked forever in Meteora DAMM v2.

Can a dev turn a hook off later? No. Hooks are fixed at launch. They end at graduation on a graduating curve, and never on a permanent one.

Why was my buy refused? Either it would put your wallet over 2% of the supply, or the coin blocks social-trading apps and your buy came through one. Buy from another wallet app or terminal.
